John 12:38-40

³⁸ so that the saying of Isaiah the Prophet might be fulfilled, that said, ‘Lord, who believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?’

³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah says again,

⁴⁰ ‘He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I heal them.’
